CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
At present, in all countries of the world, especially in countries with developing or developed economies, the concept of “digital economy” occupies an important place. In general, what does the concept of “digital economy” means? Digital economy is a common system in economic and everyday life, based on the power of the internet.
Mainly taken into account such opportunities as: increasing labor productivity, reducing production costs, increasing the ability of competition. For the successful operation of the digital economy, it is important to comply with the policy of implementing services through the Internet, mainly: the support system, that is, the availability of the internet, the provision of programs, the proper operation of telephone and electronic communications, the management of economic activities through a computer network, and electronic commerce.
Thanks to the efforts of the distinguished President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the main tasks for the next years are the intensive development of all sectors of the economy and its diversification. This is evidenced by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan on the “approval of the Concept of development in Turkmenistan of the digital economy for 2019-2025”. It is based on the Constitution, Laws: about the “Electronic Document”, “Connection”, “Regulation of the Development of the Internet in Turkmenistan”, “Information and its Protection”, and also about the “National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2011- 2030” about the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan on the socio-economic development of the country for 2018-2024”, “Concept of development in Turkmenistan of the digital economy”, “Approval of the State program to improve the effectiveness of scientific research and innovative technologies in Turkmenistan for 2017-2021”.
Currently, most states in the world are actively using the Internet. And this indicates that the digital economy will actively develop in the next few years. The digital economy plays an important role in the innovation sphere, and in the development of economic activity. Also, the transition to a digital economy contributes to reducing costs in the productive sector and the service sector, as well as rapid development in the market sphere. The digital economy is a great opportunity to discover new areas, as it has access to information and technology.
The implementation of this Concept will give a positive result in the future. The main goal of the Concept is to provide all levels of education with high-quality electronic educational information, improving the quality of educational services, and improving the teaching methods.
With the beginning of the implementation of important directions and stages of the adopted Concept, for the development of the digital economy in Turkmenistan, important tasks in this direction are being successfully solved.
