At present, in our country, there is extensively carried out a work in preparing for holding elections instead of the early retired deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of velayat, etrap, city Halk maslahaty and Gengeshes.
Elections will be held on March 31 of this year in 125 constituencies of our country. More precisely: in 3 constituencies - elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, in 4 constituencies - elections of members of the velayat Halk maslahaty and the Ashgabat city, in 16 constituencies - elections of the etrap, city Halk maslahaty, in 102 constituencies - there will be held elections of members of the Gengeshes.
357 national observers were appointed by political parties, public organizations, groups of citizens and by electoral candidates, which means that these elections will be held in democratic conditions, that is, under the peculiar observation of the entire Turkmen society.
Active participation in nomination of candidates of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, Party of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, as well as groups of citizens, namely the nomination and registration of 180 candidates from political parties, 101 from groups of citizens, indicates that the elections held in our country in a multi-party environment considers the interests of all sectors of society.
In accordance with the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, registration of 281 candidates on time, including 7 candidates for deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, 11 for members of velayat Halk maslahaty and the Ashgabat city, 36 for members of the etrap, city Halk maslahaty and 227 candidates for members of the Gengeshes, is evidence that elections are held on an alternative basis.
Elections, which will be held on March 31, 2019 will confirm that in the political life of Neutral Turkmenistan, which has become one of the harmoniously developing countries of the world, the principles of universal as well as national democracy have taken strong roots.
