Gurban bayram which promotes the strengthening of high moral principles is one of the ancient holidays of the united Turkmen people.
The noble goals of our esteemed President, such as respecting humanistic principles of our ancestors and passing them on to future generations, as well as the high respect he pays to our national heritage and culture, elevate the spirit of our people.
Gurban bayram celebrated with enthusiasm and embodying wonderful symbols of prosperity and humanism, becomes evidence of the triumph of the glory and authority of our Motherland throughout the world. Our state creates all conditions for celebrating our national holidays. Every year, on the eve of Gurban bayram, hundreds of our compatriots go to the holy Kaaba and perform the Hajj. This is a clear sign of high respect for the national traditions and spiritual values of our people.
The Gurban bayram holiday celebrations, which are inextricably linked to our history, culture and traditions, further strengthen our unity, cohesion, foundations of our state and society. This is a prerequisite for educating our young generation, future of our country, in the high spirit of patriotism and humanism, instills boundless faith in our glorious past, our happy days and our future, aspiring to high frontiers.
Gurban bayram – is a wonderful holiday that embodies cultural and spiritual heritage, moral principles, humanism, friendship and brotherhood, traditions that the Turkmen people have perfected over the centuries and passed on from generation to generation.
During these holidays everyone experiences pleasant moments. The spiritual and cultural principles inherited by our people from ancient times are being celebrated in a new context as an important guarantee of prosperity and success.
By a special decree of the head of state, three days have been declared non-working in our Motherland in connection with the Gurban bayram holiday. For three days, musical and inspiring celebrations dedicated to Gurban bayram are held in our pearl capital Ashgabat, in the city of Arkadag, in our velayats, in all cities and villages of our Motherland. According to our noble tradition, which originates from our ancestors and corresponds to the spirit of the current era, gracious tablecloths are widely spread in every family.
The joy of happy young people in holiday attire swinging on a high swing further enriches the beauty of this time. In the embrace of these blessed, wonderful days, Turkmen people celebrate with great enthusiasm the feast of charity and grace – Gurban bayram.
