CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
A meeting of the central commission for holding Elections and referendums in Turkmenistan was held on February 21, 2022. According to the agenda of the meeting, Maksatmyrat Ashirgeldiyevich Ovezgeldiyev, head of the Sanitation and disease control service of Babadayhan etrap, Ahal velayat, Kakageldi Atajanovich Saryev, director of the research and production center "Renewable energy sources" of the State energy institute of Turkmenistan nominated by the citizens' suggestion groups, as well as Meredov Babamyart Tirkeshovich, director of "Wepaly gurlushyk" economic society, nominated by the Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan for the Presidential elections of Turkmenistan which will be held on March 12, 2022 has been registered for the post of President of Turkmenistan. During the meeting the head of the Central election commission handed over the relevant identity card to the candidates.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Central election commission, members, and representatives of the media. The registration of candidates continues.
