CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
As part of the ongoing socio-political campaign for the elections of members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan under Article 6 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, registration of national observers took place, who from that moment will monitor the electoral process within their powers.
The right to appoint national observers belongs to political parties, public associations, group of citizens, and candidates.
To date, only 436 observers have been registered from the Democratic Party, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Agrarian Party, public organizations, as well as group of citizens, including 61 from Ahal velayat, 88 Balkan, 80 Dashoguz, 83 Lebap, 92 Mary and 32 Ashgabat city.
The respective certificates of recognition were issued to all registered national observers.
Training seminars will be organized for them, allowing them to fully familiarize themselves with the changes in the national electoral legislation, their official duties, and the procedure for holding the upcoming elections.
