CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
In accordance with action plan for the preparation and organized hold of elections of members of the halk maslahaty of the newly formed etraps of Turkmenistan, as well as early drop out of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of velayat, etrap, city halk maslahaty and gengeshes, which will take place on March 29, 2026 – election campaign continues in an organized manner.
The election campaign, which began with announcement of the start of the campaign on January 15 of this year, hold in accordance with the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan and within the approved plan, under democratic conditions. Currently, the public is being informed about the boundaries of the relevant electoral districts and polling stations, political parties, public associations and citizen groups are appointing national observers to monitor the elections and other campaign-related activities are being conducted in accordance with established procedures.
This indicates that the important socio-political event, which will be held this spring under the motto «Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses» will play a significant role in the country’s rapid political development.
