Our esteemed President bears a stronger perception of Victory Day promoting the idea of peaceful coexistence, goodwill, humanism for our country and calls on people to maintain friendly and fraternal relations. To preserve this perception our Memorial Complex of Ashgabat “Halk Hakydasy” and other monuments of the country establishes its genuineness and validity. These memorial complexes reflect the invincible belief about the battlefields of the deadliest war of the world and heavy memories of the Turkmen people. Their bitter sorrows left in the heart will never be forgotten.
Our compatriots are proven to be brave and heroic who sacrificed their own human life in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 with many other multinational soldiers. During the war years, Turkmen people made a worthy contribution with a sense of boundless love and confidence to Motherland, to life, and to a worthy victory by raising cotton and grain. 7,392 kilograms of gold and silver jewelry was donated to the Defense Fund by our loyal, heartfelt, and hardworking women of the Motherland. During the war, our brides were also able to weave a huge carpet called «Türkmeniň kalby». Today descendants are happy for our brave compatriots and they feel pride for their well accomplished hard work and bravery in the presence of all mankind.
Under the leadership of the Turkmen leader, Turkmenistan is carrying out systematic work to strengthen global peace and develop friendly and fraternal relations.
Thanks to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s great concern, war veterans, home front workers and widows of soldiers enjoy many privileges and receive benefits. This concern creates favorable conditions for the good lives of those who fought in the War of 1941-1945 with newly built and renovated vacation homes, sanatoriums, hospitals, and representing a relative honor to the future generation is one of the priorities of our state policy.
