CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
The international initiatives of our esteemed President, in regards to maintaining global security, prosperity and peacefulness of countries are recognized with great concern in the world. For the reason that all the proposals which are put forward by our country are aimed at developing international cooperation and finding solutions to important contemporary issues. This in itself creates ample opportunities for global well-being and peacefulness in the region in resolving international issues through mutual understanding and agreement following the generally recognized norms of international law.
Turkmenistan regularly and actively participates in the meetings of the UN General Assembly by presenting its regional and world-class constructive international initiatives for the sake of the common good. The effectiveness of Turkmenistan's permanently neutral policy can be recognized distinctly in the speeches of our esteemed President at the sessions of the UN General Assembly which is effective not only for Turkmenistan but also for its regional and global concerns.
The unanimous adoption of the Resolution “2021 – International Year of Peace and Trust” at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly was a unique triumph for our principled peace-loving country. Declaration of 2021 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” in the UN Resolution calls for the international community to work towards strengthening peace and trust in inter-state relations, sustainable peace, and solidarity to achieve a harmonious relationship between countries and its people, it is significantly important to unite efforts based on political dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation.
As our esteemed President noted, foreign policy strategy of permanently Neutral Turkmenistan does not interfere in the internal affairs of the countries of the world, and that our country adheres to the principles of good neighborliness, peacefulness, and humanity. These noble principles are the source of the inherited traditions from our ancestors. Turkmenistan, known as a permanently neutral state in the continent and as a reconciliation center in the region, our state is not only known as a peace-loving country but also as a peace-building, developing, and strengthening state.
The opening of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia on December 10, 2007, in our white marble capital and the holding of international meetings and conferences confirms that our country plays an effective role in strengthening peace in the region and it is becoming more and more powerful.
Our esteemed President has friendly relations with the peoples of the world and his effective work aimed at strengthening equality, solidarity, and prosperity which deserves great support from the countries of the world.
Yes, shortly, guests from all over the world will start coming to Ashgabat – the coral city of Central Asia. This in itself will once again prove to the globe that Turkmenistan is a prestigious country in Central Asia that implements the goals of international organizations.
