CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

MONTH OF CELEBRATING THE BENEVOLENCE

Oraza Bayram is widely celebrated at the state level every year in our country under the Decree of our esteemed President in the prosperous period of our sovereign state. The month of Oraza is one of the blessed months that further illuminates the benevolence and humanity of our people. Turkmen people have always valued the month of Ramadan as a holy month of physical and spiritual purification and been guided by humanity, kindness, friendship, brotherhood, honesty, and purity.

In our nation, the month of Ramadan is celebrated as a month of charity and contentment, honesty, and good deeds. Fasting during the holy month of Ramadan which is the servant of the months is a reward that God is giving charity to His beloved people for those who wish to purify heart and soul.

Iftar offerings and prayers are done for the well-being of the homes, peace of our dear Homeland, happiness and unity of our nation, as well as tarawa namaz, and good prayers are done during the month of Ramadan. As every year, also in the year of «Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust» the month of Ramadan symbolizes charity, spiritual purity, pure faith, humanity, and unity, in this regard our esteemed President has carried out noble deeds by celebrating the great humanitarian principles of our people.

As is known, our dear Arkadag gave an iftar offering at the Main mosque in Gypjak. The President of the neighboring Republic of Uzbekistan also attended this Iftar dinner. Our forefathers said: «Day of Resurrection - from a neighbor». This means that the Turkmen-Uzbek nations are friendly and continue the wise will of our ancestors. Also, our national Leader signed a decree «On the pardon of convicts» on the occasion of Qadr night. 982 of our convicted citizens and 53 of the foreign nationals were pardoned and released according to that document. It is clear evidence that the state attaches great importance to the development of our society based on the lofty principles of humanity.

Oraza Bayram is one of the most cherished holidays of the entire Muslim community and it is widely celebrated in national praise following our traditions and ancient customs. Turkmen people give special importance to this ancient holiday celebrating our spiritual values such as spiritual purity and moral purity, humanity, kindness, and gratitude.

Oraza Bayram is also a wonderful holiday that our ancestors have been celebrating since ancient times. The celebration of Oraza Bayram at the end of Ramadan and doing bayram namaz in mosques are also symbols of national unity.

Our wise poet Magtymguly Pyragy said: «Doing prayer in the morning» by noting that the prayers at the time of the rising of the sun are accepted. As our compatriots who spent the month of Ramadan safe and sound have said: «May your bayram namaz, fasts, and good prayers be accepted! God bless the years to come».

Dear compatriots! Congratulations on the Oraza Bayram!
