CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
October 9-10 in the building “Ak öý” in the meadow Novruz of ancient Akhal was collected for a single dastarhan all the wisdom of the Turkmen. In those days the council of the Elders of Turkmenistan was held here. At the council, the Turkmen National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conferred on issues of national importance with the people respected by the elders and representatives of various sectors of society. At the meeting, they were consulted on the issues of the further rise of the Turkmen state in the third millennium to a new height, further improvement of the people's living conditions, high economic growth, and improvement of legislation in accordance with international principles. A lot of suggestions were heard from the rostrum. Important strategic decisions and decisions were made for the benefit of the people, connected with the happy future of the people.
The venerable elders presented for consideration the fateful proposals for the people. The Turkmen people are grateful for the decisions taken in consultation with the elders.

By the decree of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the distinguished President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded the highest award - the medal “Altyn Ay” and the title of Hero of Turkmenistan.
The Council adopted the Program for the Development of Turkmenistan by the respected President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Decisions were made on free economic zones, on the introduction of amendments to the Constitution of Turkmenistan, on amendments to the Constitutional Law of Turkmenistan on the Independence and Principles of the State Structure of Turkmenistan, on the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, on Amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan, On Migration making amendments and additions to the law of Turkmenistan “On Taxes” and many other important decisions.
By the decree of the President of Turkmenistan a number of citizens of the country were awarded the title of “Hormatly il ýaşulusy”.

As the Turkmen national leader noted, consulting with the elders is one of the amazing, unusual features in the blood and consciousness of the Turkmen people. The present council once again showed the whole Earth unity, the mind of the nation, the integrity of the people.
Decisions taken in consultation with the elders who saw the bitterness and sweetness of life were supported by the entire Turkmen people.
The council with the elders in matters of state administration, improving public relations was very useful.
The council discussed in detail the issues of improving Turkmen society in accordance with modern requirements, putting in motion the still unused opportunities.
Decisions and decisions taken at the council held in the “Ak öý” building in Novruz meadow of ancient Akhal became a kind of evidence of the state’s improvement in accordance with the requirements of the time of the growth strategy in the third millennium.
