CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
Under the wise, humane leadership of our esteemed President, every day of our dear Motherland, which attends weddings during the prosperous period of our Sovereign state, is nourished with glorious events.
In the glorious year of the historic date of the glorious 30th anniversary of our holy Independence, another state initiative was launched. With the blessings of our hero Arkadag, the commissioning of the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway has added to the glorious events in the year "Turkmenistan - the Motherland of peace and trust".
In accordance with the Resolution of the President, the design and construction of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway was entrusted to the "Turkmen Avtoban" closed joint-stock company, a member of the union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The high-speed highway, which starts at a crossroads on the 24th kilometer of the Ashgabat-Dashoguz highway, with a total cost of US $ 2.3 billion and a length of about 600 kilometers, was inaugurated on January 24, 2019. The project is planned to be implemented in three phases. At present, that is, the construction of the Ashgabat-Tejen distance of the 1st phase has been fully completed. The second phase of the high-speed road (Tejen-Mary distance) is scheduled to be completed in 2022, and the third phase (Mary-Turkmenabat distance) in December 2023.
The implementation of this great project in the era of Happiness is a clear example of the continuation of the noble deeds of our ancestors, such as the construction of roads and bridges, the comprehensive development of our country. It is gratifying to all of us to pay special attention to such noble deeds from our wise forefathers in our wonderful time, to follow the noble principles, and to perfect them in accordance with the spirit of the times. The implementation of such large-scale projects is another clear evidence of the successful implementation of the tasks set by the President. The successful completion of the first phase of the 203-kilometer-long road, the Ashgabat-Tejen distance, clearly shows the successful development of transport diplomacy in our country.
Highways are very popular all over the world. The main feature of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway is that it is designed for high-speed traffic. Therefore, this high-speed road is distinguished by the fact that it does not intersect with other roads, including highways or bicycle lanes.
10 car service centers are planned for high-speed road maintenance. Also along the way, modern equipped monitoring, communication and control systems, large and small payment terminals have been installed. There is also a checkpoint, a recreation area. That action is controlled by an automatic system. Under this system, the basic data of the high-speed highway inspection service will be sent and stored. This work will be done through a closed-loop television system. There will also be send information from the meteorological station about road humidity, visibility and more. According to the construction plan, 76 water pipes of various sizes, 10 passages for cattle transportation and 17 passages for agricultural machinery were built along the road. Iron barrier fence and external protection grid were done.
The highway consists of six traffic zones. Its earth width is 34.5 meters, the width of the road section is 11.25 meters in each rap, and the width of the traffic area is 3.75 meters. To ensure the safety of road traffic, drawings in accordance with international standards have been drawn and road signs have been placed. This is in line with the requirements for such facilities in the world.
Thus, the successful commissioning of the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway has become another evidence of the rapid formation of the internationally important transit system in Turkmenistan. This highway is one of the largest transport projects in the country. Implementation of that project will ensure rapid transit of high-speed highways to the Asia-Pacific region. This path is of great importance in addressing the tasks related to the diversification of the logistics system, business and the whole system of international relations of our country.
The high-speed highway will create favorable conditions for significantly increasing the volume of cargo transported from the territory of Turkmenistan and speeding up traffic. In this regard, great opportunities are being opened in the development of transport relations with neighboring Uzbekistan. The junction of the high-speed highway connecting the eastern part of the country to its Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi highway transport trucks to the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port and from there, by sea, it will allow access to the Caucasus, Europe, the south of Russia, to the north of Iran, Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
As a result of the full opening and commissioning of the high-speed highway, these white roads will be of great importance in the development of relations on various types of transport in our country, which is located in the heart of the Great Silk Road and connects the civilizations of the East and the West.
