CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
December 12th in the new historical epoch is one of the most important dates in the history of the turkmen people written with golden letters. Because, 26 years ago, on December 12th, in 1995, at the 50th session of the United Nations General Assembly, a resolution "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan" was adopted with the support of 185 states. On June 3, 2015, at the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Resolution on the "Permanent Neutrality Law of Turkmenistan" was adopted for the second time by 193 states.
Turkmenistan is an Independent, Neutral, and dynamically developing country in the Central Asian region. It has huge natural resources, production capacity, and a well-developed transport and communications system. As a full member of the world community, Turkmenistan prioritizes the universally recognized norms of international law, and as a Neutral state in the political, economic, cultural and legal spheres of the world, it promotes the doctrines of peace and humanity. It supports international efforts to maintaining and maintain political stability in the region, in the world and to develop the principles of good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation.
Under the leadership of our esteemed President, our country, which pursues a creative foreign policy, is widely known around the world as a country that prioritizes the principles of peace, humanity, goodwill, mutually beneficial relations, and focuses on the common good of the world.
By the initiative of Turkmenistan on February in 2017 the official declaration of December 12th by the United Nations General Assembly as International Neutrality day has become a source of pride.
Turkmenistan, which adheres to its obligations as a neutral country in increasing his reputation as a reliable partner the importance of the state Leader’s policy of Neutrality is immeasurable. Adoption of the Resolution "2021 – International year of peace and trust" at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly on the initiative of our President have been made known to the world the efforts to maintain Turkmenistan's peace. Permanent Neutral Turkmenistan has accumulated a great deal of experience in strengthening peace and prosperity in the world. The establishment of the UN regional center for Preventive diplomacy in Central Asia is also aimed at these lofty goals in our capital. Based on the noble principles of our forefathers, our people have for centuries been friendly to other peoples and have strengthened their mutual agreements.
This year on December 12th, marks the 26 year of the permanent Neutrality of our Motherland. Our permanent Neutrality is the eternal happiness of our people. And behind this happiness lies the passion of our forefathers, our pride in our past, and the bright future of our country. The permanent status of neutrality, which has raised the prestige of the turkmen people, is a continuation of the principles of our ancestors based on peace and democratic norms.
In the book "Turkmenistan - Heart of the Great Silk Road", our esteemed President's pure principles of permanent Neutrality are expressed through artistic means. " Consequently, the Great Silk Road turned into a power connecting the continents. Turkmenistan occupied an important place in the scene of history as a heart – motive of this international trade and cultural road " is marked in the book. The restoration of the Great Silk road contributes to the development of friendly cooperation between the peoples, the transformation of the region into a region of peace, solidarity, mutually beneficial cooperation and stability.
The Neutrality building - one of the monuments in our beautiful capital, which glorifies from afar is located on Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue, is a clear reflection of the architectural art of the peace and peace of our country. The height of the Neutrality building is 83 meters, and the height of the statue is 12 meters, for a total of 95 meters. These numbers indicate the date on which our state gained the status of Neutrality - December 12th, 1995.
The year 2021 - "Turkmenistan - the Motherland of peace and trust" celebrated the 30th anniversary of our sacred Independence. In addition, labor victories were achieved in all sectors of our national economy and reaching new heights. At the same time, it was one of the most important events in the country's electoral system. With the transition to a two-chamber system of the Parliament of our country, the first election of members of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan was held on the last Sunday of March this year.
International Neutrality day is celebrated every year in a solemn manner in the turkmen land. May our Land, which is nourished by the feast, flourish and prosper. May our esteemed President be upright, healthy and long-lived, and may his great deeds for the benefit of the nation and the world be always nourished with prosperity!
