Under the wise leadership of our hero Arkadag, the melody of Neutrality is heard loudly in the hearts of our people during the Prosperous period of our Sovereign state. The concept of neutrality is synonymous with the pursuit of peace around the world.
The Declaration of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, adopted on December 12, 1995, with the support of 185 states at the 50th anniversary session of the United Nations General Assembly, marks one of the most important dates in the history of the turkmen people with golden letters. After that day, the word "Neutrality" was forever ingrained in our language and in our hearts. The word "Neutrality" has become synonymous with "Happiness." Turkmen Neutrality has been recognized as a positive tool for strengthening friendly, good-neighborly relations between the states and peoples, and for establishing fruitful cooperation.
Decision on the legal status of "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan" at the 69th session of the UN General Assembly on June 3rd, 2015 was adopted for the second time as a result of unanimous support from 193 states. Thus, the name of Turkmenistan was born as the first and only Neutral state recognized in the world by the United Nations. As it known, our country maintains friendly relations with international organizations and countries of the world, fulfilling the tasks arising from the status of permanent Neutrality.
Strengthening global peace and security is of paramount importance in the world today. In this regard, relevant work is being carried out to implement Turkmenistan's initiatives aimed at strengthening peace, security and ensuring sustainable development in Central Asia. This was highlighted at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly this year.
Peace-loving, non-interference in the internal affairs of other states, respect for their sovereignty, non-participation in international military organizations and treaties, equitable and mutually beneficial cooperation are important areas of our national Leader's Neutrality policy. Recognized as a country responsible for fulfilling its commitments, the United Nations responsible long-term partner is actively involved in international efforts to strengthen peace co-operation in Central Asia.
At the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly on the basis of the proposal put forward by our esteemed President by all UN member states the unanimous adoption of the Resolution "2021 - the year of International peace and trust" is one of the great achievements of our national Leader in the development of international cooperation. This Declaration is of great importance in strengthening relations between the states, in consolidating efforts on the basis of mutual understanding and cooperation.
Yes, Neutrality is the source of our happiness. Neutrality is eternal peace, prosperity and happiness. May the life of our Hero Arkadag, who leads us from development to development and bright future in the embrace of happiness, always be nourished and prosperous!
