CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
Following our esteemed President's advice to conduct elections in our country based on organized and democratic principles, is an important task for the election commissions to fully and properly comply with the legislative principles of elections. Elections, which are an important socio-political event in our country are held in accordance with democratic principles, national laws, international norms.
Based on the resolution №18-VII issued by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan on May 10, 2023, it was decided to held the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annayev township of Karizek etrap of Arkadag city on July 23, 2023, on Sunday.
It was announced by the apparatus of the Commission for holding Elections and referendums in Turkmenistan that the election season begins on May 17, 2023.
The apparatus of the Commission for holding Elections and referendums in Turkmenistan (15 members), the election commission of Arkadag city (11 members), Karizek etrap election commission (11 members), Aba Annayev township election commission (7 members) and 1st precinct election commission (5 members) were participated in the preparation and holding works of the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annayev township.
Within the conditions of transparency of the elections, 6 national observers consisting of representatives of political parties and public associations of our country observed the conduction of all stages of the election season on a democratic basis. 50 percent of national observers are women.
A total of 5 constituencies were created for the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annayev township.
A polling station was established in the building of the 10th secondary school of Arkadag city for voting in the elections.
Nomination of çandidates began on May 24, 2023 and ended on June 22.
The registration of candidates held from May 28 to June 23.
3 political parties of our country took part in the process of nominating candidates for the elections.
A total of 10 candidates were nominated and registered by political parties in the elections. More precisely:
- 4 from the first organization of the Democratic party of Turkmenistan;
- 3 from the first organization of the party of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan;
- 3 from the first organization of the Agrarian party of Turkmenistan.
Thus, two candidates competed for one place in the elections, and 40 percent of the candidates are women.
According to the Law, all the registered candidates had the opportunity to carry out the preaching works under equal conditions. Candidates met with voters in constituencies, answered on the question at the same level according to their programs and explained their programs to the public. Their biographies were printed in the form of posters, and distributed in full to the residents of Aba Annayev township.
At the same time, a characteristic video of the call for the elections was prepared and broadcasted to the public on TV channels.
About the activities carried out during the election season, more specifically, the boundaries of the established constituencies, the center of precinct, the boundaries and the list of registered candidates, as well as the information related to the elections, news were regularly posted on the website of the Central election commission saylav.gov.tm , and brought to the public's attention.
All the necessary documents and other material resources for election commissions were provided in a centralized form - by the office of the Central election commission.
In order to achieve the organized conduction of the elections, a practical training seminar was held with the members of the election commissions.
Early voting took place between July 13 and 22, 2023, and 7.63% of voters cast a ballot.
Voting on the elections day was held in the 1st polling station of Karizek etrap of Arkadag city from 7:00 am to 19:00/7:00 pm.
218 out of 236 total registered voters voted in these elections, the percentage ratio was 92.37%.

38 at 09:00 a.m. - 16,10 %,
79 at 11:00 a.m. - 33,47 %,
121 at 13:00/01:00 p.m. - 51,27 %,
159 at 15:00/03:00 p.m. - 67,37 %,
187 at 17:00/05:00 p.m. - 79,24 %,
218 at 19:00/07:00 p.m. - 92,37 % of voters were voted.
4 young voters who turned 18 took part in the elections.
Special video cameras were installed at the 1st polling station of Karizek etrap of Arkadag city which was created for the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annayev township, and on the day of the elections the voters' votes were shown directly through a digital system to the public in an online format on the website of the Central election commission saylav.gov.tm.
Thus, according to the minutes of the election commissions on the voting results, 5 members of gengesh were elected.
In the Revival of the new epoch of the Powerful state, the presence of young members of gengesh among those elected in the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annayev township held in the year declared "The year of happy youth with Arkadag Serdar" shows that the high trust in young generations in our country is also reflected in the election system.
