CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
During the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, under the leadership of our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a policy aimed at educating a healthy, patriotic, morally pure and courageous young generation is being successfully implemented. In our beloved country, the homeland of a happy childhood, taking care of children is one of the main priorities of state policy. In Turkmenistan where human rights are respected, the legal protection of motherhood and childhood is an important issue and occupies a special place in our legislation.
The Turkmen people have perfect traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. Today, these traditions are spreading all over the world thanks to the humanitarian policy implemented by our country. In this regard, an important role is played by the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation to provide assistance to children in need of care, established on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag in order to ensure social protection of low-income and sick children.
The main purpose of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship is to carry out charitable activities aimed at protecting the health of children who have lost their parents for various reasons, getting them a worthy education, finding their place in life, as well as helping children who have guardians but need support in recovering their health. This fund also regularly allocates facilities for surgical and other necessary procedures to children in need of care in hospitals in the capital and velayats. Helping children in difficult situations and in need of help and caress is one of the priorities of state policy and occupies a special place in the State program “Health”, developed and adopted under the leadership of our Hero Arkadag.
Indeed, since March 29, 2021, our Hero Arkadag signed a historic Decree on the creation of a Charitable foundation to help children in need of custody, despite the fact that only four years have passed, thanks to the funds of this foundation, a lot of work has been done to recover children's health and ensure social protection for the younger generation.
For the protection of children's health, the construction of health and rehabilitation centers in our country, equipped with equipment that meets the highest modern requirements is of particular importance, in particular the comfortable conditions created in the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the city of Arkadag.
The International Conference “Year of Peace and Trust: Development of international activities for children” was held in Arkadag, dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. This large-scale event was attended by heads and representatives of government agencies and public organizations, as well as international organizations from the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, India, Georgia, Austria.
The presence of guests from different countries at the conference has become a worldwide celebration of Turkmen humanism. Also, the organization of the children’s contest “The Year of International Peace and Trust: the outlook of Children” dedicated to this significant date, and the presentation of valuable gifts to the winners demonstrated that our beautiful land is the abode of a happy childhood.
The significant attention paid to the humanitarian activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship at the 57th session of the UN Commission on Population and Development testifies to the growing authority of the organization in the international arena.
This activity is a celebration at the international level of our policy of permanent Neutrality, based on peace and goodwill and recognized three times by the United Nations General Assembly.
