CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
During in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, the foreign policy of our Hero Arkadag and Hero Arkadagly Serdar based on the principles of peace, friendship and brotherhood is becoming more and more successful. Under the wise leadership of the esteemed President, our country is preparing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of permanent Neutrality.
As is known, the UN General Assembly at its 50th session on December 12, 1995 with the support of 185 states and at its 69th session on June 3, 2015 with the support of 193 states adopted the resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan”.
In the “International Year of Peace and Trust” on March 21 at the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly this authoritative international organization with the unanimous support of its Member States on the initiative of our country, unanimously adopted the Resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan” for the third time. 67 countries acted as co-authors. This Resolution has further reinforced the significance of the 30th anniversary of our permanent Neutrality. This is a celebration of the legal status of our country’s permanent Neutrality throughout the world.
Each of our happy compatriots is sincerely proud and rejoices at the high authority of Neutral Turkmenistan in the world.
Turkmenistan, which advocates peaceful development throughout the world, as a democratic, legal and secular State, has consistently implemented a foreign policy strategy based on the principles of positivity, peacefulness, good neighborliness, equality and mutual respect since gaining Independence. Our State, which pursues a foreign policy based on peace, trust and preventive diplomacy, regularly speaks at sessions of the UN General Assembly with important initiatives aimed at sustainable development and peaceful coexistence of the world community. As a result, the Turkmen model of Neutrality emerged in a short historical period. On the initiative of our country and on the basis of the proclamation of the UN General Assembly, December 12 is recognized worldwide as the International Day of Neutrality.
The wise lines of the wise poet Makhtumkuli Fragi, calling for humanism, unity, peace and also the philosophy of peacefulness, which became the way of life of our fathers.
As you know, the international forum scheduled to be held in the capital on December 12 this year at the level of heads of state and heads of international organizations will go down in gold letters in history as the main event of the upcoming events. This issue was discussed in detail in a telephone conversation between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag and UN Secretary General António Guterres. They also stressed the importance of declaring 2025 the “International Year of Peace and Trust” in Turkmenistan, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. In this regard, António Guterres confirmed that the UN structures will actively participate in international events organized by Turkmenistan.
We wish Hero Arkadag and esteemed President – Hero Arkadagly Serdar, who are doing a great job to celebrate the legal status of permanent Neutrality of Independent Turkmenistan at the international level, health, long life and success in great deeds for the benefit of the people, the country and universal significance.
