CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
During the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state our country confidently moving forward along the path of reform and prosperity. Programs aimed at further improving the living conditions of our people are being successfully implemented. Of course, the development of the agricultural sector also acquiring new meaning and content. The worthy continuation of the large-scale reforms initiated by our heroic Motherland in this area under the leadership of our esteemed President contributes to the strengthening of our country’s economic might.
In our sunny country, which is the cradle of ancient agricultural culture, the Harvest Festival is widely celebrated annually on the second Sunday of November in honor of the achievements of the agricultural sector.
As the esteemed President noted, Harvest Festival – is a vivid expression of our courageous people’s pride in the wealth they have earned through their labor, the harvest gathered on the fertile Turkmen soil and celebration of their devotion and love for their Motherland. The solemn celebration of the Harvest Festival in all regions of our native land – is a shining example of the high respect for the honest labor of Turkmen farmers at the state level.
When we think of the Harvest festival, the first thing that comes to mind – is the fruits of the hard work and dedication of our valiant farmers. Grain growers, cotton pickers, vegetable growers, livestock breeders and all agricultural workers who have dedicated their lives to farming, through their honest labor, grow a rich harvest of grain and fruit on the generous Turkmen land, ensuring an abundance of food in our country.
The book of the Head of State “ANAU – culture originated from the Millennia” contains valuable information about white wheat grown five thousand years ago. The agricultural traditions, that our glorious ancestors developed on this fertile land enriched with new content today. Turkmenistan is achieving great success in growing not only bread, but also seed wheat. Following the wisdom of their ancestors: “The labor of the farmer brings abundance to the land”, Turkmen farmers successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations this year, delivering over 1.4 million tons of wheat to the country’s bins.
In this regard, government support and large investment funds of particular importance for the technical equipment and modernization of all production structures of the agro-industrial complex and development of the chemical industry. Modern tractors, combine harvesters, sowing and other equipment regularly purchased for the agro-industrial complex.
Turkmenistan’s cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is also intensifying. This organization actively supports all of Turkmenistan’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals – from developing agriculture based on methods adapted to environmental impacts to improving the food security system.
In accordance with the President’s decrees, state procurement prices for wheat, cotton and rice have been increased starting with the 2024 harvest. The creation of broad opportunities to increase the incomes of rural workers has had a positive impact on the continuous improvement of the well-being and living conditions of the rural population.
In honor of the Harvest Festival by decree of the esteemed President, special awards presented to outstanding farmers and workers of our peaceful country, as well as honorary titles. All this spreads the festive light of this holiday celebrated in our sunny country throughout the world.
We wish our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who successfully continues the great work of our Hero Arkadag, inspiring farmers who reap rich harvests on their native land, caring for the happy and prosperous life of the Turkmen people, developing our beloved Motherland, health, longevity and prosperity in great endeavors for the benefit of the state!
