On December 6, 2025, our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of velayat hyakims, heads of diplomatic missions, consular offices and our country’s representative offices to international organizations abroad. The meeting discussed important issues related to our country’s foreign policy in the international arena.
During the meeting, the Head of State addressing participants, announced the completion of a book entitled “Neutrality of Turkmenistan – A Bright Way of Peace and Trust”. It highlights the importance of permanent Neutrality, recognized three times by the United Nations General Assembly and comprehensively covers historic initiatives aimed at ensuring global peace and trust. It also summarizes our country’s high achievements and successes. Therefore, the Head of State noted, this book will be a gift to our people. This work is a fitting gift to our beloved nation during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of its global recognition, widely celebrated during the International Year of Peace and Trust and the International Day of Neutrality, widely celebrated in a solemn atmosphere.
The esteemed President’s new book, which comprehensively illuminates the glorious way of the historical periods of our Motherland, consists of 9 chapters and describes in detail the peaceful and sustainable development of Turkmen Neutrality and importance of our country’s legal status, three times recognized by relevant United Nations General Assembly resolutions, for ensuring peace, security and stable development in the world. Published with high quality printing, the book is available to the general public in three languages – Turkmen, English and Russian.
The chapters of the work titled “Neutrality in outlook of the Turkmen people” and “Looking at the historical roots of Neutrality”, discuss the peace-loving, friendly principles of our people, supported by historical facts. A separate chapter is devoted to our country’s strategically developed cooperation with the United Nations.
Arkadagly Hero Serdar notes in his book that the new political principle proclaimed to the world at the end of the 20th century and decisive steps taken in the 21st century demonstrated that the inherent qualities of the Turkmen people can be expressed in one word. This is the status of permanent Neutrality – positive Neutrality that embodies all the high traits inherent in the Turkmen people.
The international reputation that our Motherland has earned through the successful implementation of the policy of positive Neutrality, developed through the efforts of Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar clearly demonstrates that this direction is a very correct and well-thought-out way.
In the chapter “Peace and Trust – The imperatives of our era” of his new book, esteemed President addresses important contemporary issues and emphasizes that peace and trust, considered the golden rules, must not be violated. In the chapter “Peace – The Base of the Turkmen Civilization”, he wisely observes that harmony, reconciliation and living in harmony – are the essence of the good prayers of all Turkmens, not only for themselves or their people, but for all people of the world. At the end of the book are UN resolutions on Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, historical documents adopted in our country during the International Year of Peace and Trust and the esteemed President’s speeches at various summits and conferences.
This new book, demonstrating the depth and foresight of Arkadagly Hero Serdar’s political views, offers valuable insights into how to use effective tools of Neutrality to ensure the well-being of humanity, positively address important issues and strengthen trust and friendship in the world in today’s difficult global conditions.
Undoubtedly, one of the most important tasks is to explain and convey to the younger generation the importance and essence of the remarkable, profound book “Neutrality of Turkmenistan – A Bright Way of Peace and Trust”. Because this book will be a valuable gift and guide for present and future generations. We wish that the precious pen of our esteemed President will continue to create works born from the storehouses of wisdom.
We wish health, longevity and success in great deeds to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who expand the ancient principles of peacefulness and friendliness of the Turkmen people.
