CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
On October 11, 2019, a meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Ashgabat at the "Oguzkent" Hotel, chaired by the distinguished President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Based on the results of the Summit, it was adopted a Declaration on Strategic Economic Cooperation of the CIS Member States. The document adopted by the initiative of the national Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again clearly confirmed that the Turkmen side is taking an active position in matters of further strengthening and growing broad mutually beneficial cooperation in the vastness of the Commonwealth.
The adoption, by the initiative of the national Leader, of the Ashgabat Declaration will help further growth on a strategic basis of mutually beneficial economic cooperation within the CIS, bringing interstate relations based on historically established customs of friendship and good neighborliness to a new level.
Of course, special attention was paid to humanitarian cooperation. Because, the cooperation in the field of culture, science, in the field of sports, children's and youth organizations consistently strengthens friendship, mutual understanding, goodwill and trust between the peoples of the CIS.
The meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State chaired by the respected President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the Turkmen capital once again clearly demonstrated that Neutral Turkmenistan is very responsible for the growth of multilateral cooperation in the Commonwealth.
