CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
In preparation for the Presidential elections of Turkmenistan to be held February 12, 2017, the deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the specialists of the Central Election Commission held a meeting in Akhal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, Mary provinces and Ashgabat city.
At the meetings held on December 17-18, was attended by members of election committees, representatives of state power and local government council, political parties, public unions and other relevant organizations. In accordance with the legislation and article №20 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, they were explained the activities that need to take place in the framework of their competence with a view to the orderly conduct of the elections.
