CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

Every day of 2025, declared the International Year of Peace and Trust in our peaceful country, is filled with significant events and good news. Such historically significant good news came from the United Nations General Assembly, which was located in New York City, United States of America, during the days of wide celebration of the National Spring Holiday in our country – the International Day of Novruz. On March 21, 2025, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted the Resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan” for the third time. This news has raised the festive spirit of our united people.

As you know, on December 12, 1995, at the 50th session of the United Nations General Assembly, for the first time 185 Member States of the League of Nations adopted the Resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan”.

Later, on June 3, 2015, in the Year of Neutrality and Peace, which marked the 20th anniversary of our permanent Neutrality, the Resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan” was adopted for the second time at the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, recognized by 193 states. This served as a reason for further strengthening the policy of Neutrality of our Independent State.

On March 21, 2025, which marked the 30th anniversary of our permanent Neutrality and was declared the International Year of Peace and Trust, at the initiative of our country, the Resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan” was unanimously adopted at the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

During in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, under the wise leadership of our esteemed Hero Arkadag Serdar, the status of permanent Neutrality of our beloved Fatherland was recognized for the third time on the basis of a corresponding Decree. Certainly, these historic resolutions were adopted taking into account Turkmenistan's contribution to ensuring peace and security in the region, in accordance with its legal status of permanent Neutrality, as well as on the basis of the active and positive role that Turkmenistan plays in developing peaceful, friendly and mutually relations with the countries of the region and other countries of the world.

This clearly proves that the policy of Neutrality of Hero Arkadag is worthily continued by our esteemed President - Hero Arkadag Serdar and that the authority of our well-wishing country is steadily growing.
