CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

At the State drama theater named after M.Kemine there was a meeting of Mary velayat voters with the candidate for the post of President of Turkmenistan - CEO of PU "Garabogazsulfat" of the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya".

The meeting participants: heads of local authorities, elders, members of the public, labor groups, media were familiarized with the biography of S.Nurnepesov, nominated by the initiative group of citizens. The trustee of the contender for the highest state post has described him as a credible, ambitious, competent leader.

The candidate presented participants provisions of his election program aimed at commissioning of new oil and gas fields, increasing the depth of hydrocarbons processing, creation of export pipelines, chemical industry products. Attention will be given to innovation and development of education and health, construction of social and cultural facilities, roads, gas supply systems of settlements, stated the candidate. The priority issues will be support for social programs, improvement of towns and villages, reforms in the agricultural sector.

S.Nurnepesov answered questions from the audience, who were interested in the growth of food production, import substitution program, rural development and employment of the population. The applicant intends to strengthen the democratic and legal foundations of the state, to pursue the policy of "open doors", to develop mutually beneficial international relations.
