CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
In accordance with the article 46 of the Electoral code of Turkmenistan, on February 19, 2022, the candidates for the Presidential Elections of Turkmenistan, which will be held on March 12, 2022, were nominated by the citizens’ suggestion groups. Maksatmyrat Ashirgeldiyevich Ovezgeldiyev, head of the Sanitation and disease control service of Babadayhan etrap, Ahal velayat and Kakageldi Atajanovich Saryev, director of the research and production center "Renewable energy sources" of the State energy institute of Turkmenistan was nominated.
The meetings of the citizens' suggestion groups for nomination were held in the conference hall of the house of culture in Anau city, Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal velayat, as well as in the conference hall of the Mary velayat hakimlik.
The meeting was attended by members of the citizens' suggestion groups and members of the media.
To this day, four candidates have been nominated by the citizens' suggestion groups.
