CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

The meeting of the candidate to the post of the President of Turkmenistan, Deputy Hyakim of Mary Velayat Jumanazar Annayev with the electorate took place in the Palace of Culture of Gyami settlement, Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal Velayat. Heads of the regional administration, personnel of enterprises and farmer’s associations, honoured elders, representatives of non-governmental organizations, mass media and youth took part in the meeting. 

Working biography of the candidate, who was nominated by the initiative group of citizens and who made his way from the worker of the farmer’s association to Deputy Hyakim of the velayat, to the highest government position was presented in details. 

J. Annayev spoke on his election programme, which is aimed at further consolidation of the country’s power, development of equal international relations, economic growth and improvement of the wellbeing of the people. The candidate stressed the attention on accumulation of economic power of the country, harmonic development of basic branches of the economy – oil and gas, energy, chemical, agricultural, which potential affects the solution of most important social issues. 

During the meeting, J. Annayev answered the questions of the electorate. The participants expressed the interest in prospects of the development of different branches of national economy, in planned programmes and measures for introduction of scientific achievements and advanced technologies, improvement of social level of rural population as well as the issues of employment and establishment of new work places. Special attention was paid to the youth policy.
