CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

In Turkmenbashi there was a meeting of voters of Balkan velayat with Jumanazar Annaev deputy khyakim of Mary velayat - the candidate for the post of the Head of the State. The meeting was held in the Cultural and Sports Center of Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, which brought together the heads of local authorities, representatives of labor collectives, public organizations and mass media, honorable elders, youth.

The trustee of J. Annaev gave characterization to the candidate as a decent man, conscientious and competent professional, with good organizational skills.

In presenting his election program, J.Annaev stressed that, in case of being elected to the highest public post, he would give special attention to the expansion of mutually beneficial relations of Turkmenistan with other states. In agriculture - improving crop yields, the rational use of water and land resources, support entrepreneurship and other measures to strengthen food independence of the country.

The oil and gas sector will require investment for development of new perspective oil fields. Multi-vector energy supplies for export will retain the priority. Among the urgent tasks there are increasing the productive capacity of the textile industry, the development of transport and communications, education system, public health, sports and tourism industry.

During the meeting, the candidate answered the questions of voters, who were interested in concrete plans for further development of Balkan velayat, the petrochemical industry and other sectors of the national economy.
