CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
In accordance with article №48 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, candidates for the post of the President of Turkmenistan, the Central Election Commission registers. Registration of candidates begins fifty days before the election, and for twenty-five days before the election ends. January 17, 2017 completed the registration of candidates for the election of the President of Turkmenistan.
All 9 candidates nominated by political parties, initiative groups of citizens for the post of President of Turkmenistan registered. According to the law, information about registered candidates through the media - through television and radio channels, newspapers in target dates and were fully communicated to the population. This shows that nomination period for has passed in an atmosphere of openness and guarantee information provision.
At the present time the registered candidates, in the framework of the election agitation campaign, conduct meetings with voters, present their programs. For all candidates in equal conditions and comprehensively created conditions for the carrying out campaigning activities.
