CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

This symbolizes the high trust between the Motherland and the people, the unity of the people and the newly elected President. It should be noted that in our native country there is a multi-party system, which is a complete reflection of the unity of the Turkmen society, the internal harmony of all sectors of society, and elections are held in a multi-party and broadly competitive basis in accordance with democratic principles. Thus, elections are a reflection and result of the political system and civil society.

Thanks to the direct support of the Head of State, elections in our Fatherland are held in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, national legal acts of Turkmenistan, generally recognized norms of international law, and the work of the electoral system is regularly improved.

In order to get a detailed and broad acquaintance with the work of the electoral system, on June 2, 2022, at the Central Election Commission, students of the fourth season in the direction “Improving the qualifications of employees of local executive authorities and local self-government bodies” of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan underwent an internship.

In production practice, they were given a broad understanding of the work being done to conduct elections in an organized and democratic manner, the preparation and conduct of elections and referendums, the amendments and additions to the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, the election commissions, the electoral system, electoral law, the features of the first held in In our country on March 28 last year, the elections of members of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, as well as on the presidential elections in Turkmenistan held in our country on March 12 this year, exchanged interesting questions and answers.
