CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
As you know, from November 1st to 3rd this year, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan made an official visit to the Russian Federation with the members of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and the Mejlis by invitation of the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko.
As part of the program of the official visit on 1st of November the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko. Members of the official delegations of the two countries also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting our Hero Arkadag noting that the format of the parliamentary cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia envisages the resolution of many different tasks, discussed their main points and emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy as an instrument of peace, cooperation, and mutual understanding. At the end of the meeting there was a signing ceremony of the Agreement on the establishment of the parliamentary group of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The signed Agreement is aimed at bringing the cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries to a qualitatively new level in the future.
During the official visit to the Russian Federation on 2nd of November our Hero Arkadag made a program speech at the general meeting of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Also on the same day, the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin. Members of the delegations of the two countries also took part in the meeting.
Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on 3rd of November during his official visit to the Russian Federation. Also, the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan - our Hero Arkadag, for his great personal contribution to strengthening the strategic cooperation between the two countries, based on the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin the highest state award of the Russian Federation – IV degree "For meritorious services to the Motherland" was solemnly handed over.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude for this high-level state award, our Hero Arkadag emphasized that it was a great honor and a historic event. This once again proves that the basis of cooperation between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Russia is always friendship and good-neighborly cooperation. He said that it is nice to note that together with you we have made a great contribution to the strengthening of traditional cooperation.
The talks and meetings held during the official visit of our Hero Arkadag to the Russian Federation showed that the relations between the two countries are reaching a new level.
