CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
In our peaceful country whose days are full of proud events on December 2, 2022, our esteemed President held a business meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers through the digital system. And at that meeting, it was reported that good news has arrived from UNESCO's committee for the protection of Intangible cultural heritage.
On such joyful occasions, our esteemed President congratulated all turkmen people on the inclusion of the "Turkmen embroidery art" in the UNESCO list of Intangible cultural heritage of Mankind.
This historic decision which raised the spirit of all turkmen country was adopted at the 17th session of the UNESCO committee for the protection of Intangible cultural heritage, which will be held on December 1, 2022 in Rabat, Morocco. Rather, this decision was a recognition of the high value that UNESCO and international experts gave to this proposal. Thus, as a symbol of peace, brotherhood and mutual trust the turkmen embroidery art which traces its roots back to centuries has become an integral part of the universal heritage. This reflects the uniqueness of the traditions of the turkmen people.
Addressing the participants of the business conference our esteemed President emphasized that the work on the further development of the spiritual and cultural values of our dear people is one of the priority directions of the state policy. In this context, for many years in accordance with the initiatives of our Hero Arkadag great works are being done to develop and preserve the cultural values inherited from our ancestors.
May the life of our esteemed President who devoted special attention to the glorious history, past heritage, and national culture of our dear Motherland, protecting it, teaching the young generation, and spreading it to the world will be long and healthy! May the hard works for a great purpose be blessed with prosperity.
