CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

As it is known, based on the decision of Mejlis of Turkmenistan on May 10, 2023, it was decided to hold the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annayev township of Karizek etrap of Arkadag city on July 23, 2023, on Sunday. 

In order to prepare for and conduction of these elections in an organized manner, a meeting of apparatus of the Commission for holding Elections and referendums in Turkmenistan was held on May 16, 2023. Members of Central election commission and specialists, members of working groups established under the Central election commission, national observers of the central bodies of Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, the party of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Agrarian party of Turkmenistan, the Trade unions of Turkmenistan, the Women's association of Turkmenistan, the Youth organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly and media representatives were attended to the meeting. 

According to the agenda of the meeting, a number of issues related to organized preparation and holding of elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annaev township of Karizek etrap of Arkadag city which will be held on July 23, 2023, were discussed. More specifically, the plan of activities to prepare for and organize the elections were approved. It was also announced that the election season for the upcoming elections will begin on May 17, 2023. 

The issue of creating the respective electoral groups and also constituencies for the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annaev township of Karizek etrap of Arkadag city were discussed. It was also planned to hold training sessions for the members of the election commissions. 

According to our esteemed President's instructions to conduction elections in our country based on organized and democratic principles, the participants of mejlis emphasized that the full and proper observance of the legislative principles of the elections is an important task for the election commissions. They identified important tasks to ensure the transparency and wide competition of elections. The members of apparatus of the Commission for holding Elections and referendums in Turkmenistan assured that they will spare no effort to ensure that the election season will held at a high organizational level. 

At the end of the meeting the participants expressed their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag, our esteemed President, who created all conditions and wide opportunities to hold the elections in accordance with our democratic principles in our Motherland - country where the democracy is increasingly popular in the new historical period.
