CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
As it is known, on July 23 of this year, the elections of members of gengesh which is a local self-governing body will be held in Aba Annayev settlement of Karizek etrap of Arkadag city. The nomination of candidates, one of the main stages of the election season has been completed. The registration of nominated candidates and delivery the identity cards to the candidates were also organized in the Aba Annayev settlement election commission.
According to the election law, all candidates were nominated on a free and equal basis. An unlimited number of candidates were discussed during the nomination meetings. Among them the most deserving members of gengesh which is a local self-governing body were nominated. This means that the elections of members of gengesh of Aba Annayev settlement will be held in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Electoral code of Turkmenistan, on the basis of our democratic principles, in conditions of wide competition, in a state of openness and transparency. It is also notable that among the nominated candidates there are experienced professionals working in various sectors of our national economy.
As it was emphasized during the ceremony of handed over the identity card, in the near future, the candidates for the membership of gengesh of Aba Annayev settlement will use the same opportunities and rights given to them to carry out the preaching works, and will start holding meetings with voters within the election districts.
Also, these days other preparation works are underway, such as bringing the information about the candidates registered for the upcoming elections to the attention of the public and entering them into the ballot paper, registering the candidates' trustees, organizing the meetings of the candidates with the voters, compiling and correcting the list of the voters, and printing election documents.
