CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

On September 1, 2025, opening ceremony of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was held in the capital with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This event, which coincided with the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, which is widely celebrated in our country, became another important step towards the development of the national education system in accordance with advanced world experience.

The reforms initiated by our Hero Arkadag in the field of development of the education and science system are currently being successfully implemented under the leadership of our esteemed President. In this regard, modern educational institutions based on advanced teaching methods and computer technologies are being consistently built and put into operation in all regions of our country. The opportunities created are an important condition for the formation of a young generation with a developed intellect, perfectly mastering high technologies.

In his deeply meaningful speech at the opening of the new higher education institution our Hero Arkadag said: “In the independent Motherland, under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar great attention is paid to improving the sphere of science and education, bringing it to the world level. As the esteemed President notes in his Address to schoolchildren, students, teachers and employees of the education system of our country, knowledge is the basis of all our achievements, happy and prosperous life. It is knowledge that illuminates our path, starting from glorious past to the future”. The leader of the nation noted that our ancestors had such wise saying as “The life of the ignorant – is only a short moment, but for the wise it is immortal”, “The people who know lead and Merit only goes to those who know and to those who weave” and based on these wisdoms, necessary measures are being taken to constantly improve the level of education of our youth.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty continued his speech, noting that on the Day of Knowledge, an additional modern complex of educational buildings for 2.000 places and a dormitory for 800 places will be put into operation for the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and new secondary schools and kindergartens will be opened in Ashgabat and the regions in a ceremonial atmosphere. He also said that in order for our young generation to receive modern education and upbringing, to become broad-minded specialists mastering advanced technologies, first-grade students will be presented with “Bilimli” computers on behalf of the esteemed President.

The new educational institution located on a total area of ​​8 hectares was built by the private enterprise “Nur Bina Gurlushyk”. The university complex includes a 9-storey main building, 4 academic buildings, 2 dormitories for 300 people each, a conference hall, a library, a canteen, indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs – is the first non-governmental higher education institution in the country, which will have the following faculties: language faculty, advanced training; economics and business management, agribusiness; digital technologies; architectural and construction business, as well as 14 departments and 42 laboratories. Education in this higher education institution will be organized on a two-tier system: bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The total duration of study here will be 5 years, teaching will be conducted in Turkmen and English. The university will carry out its activities on a fully self-financing basis.

There was also a ceremonial presentation of international certificates and awards confirming the high quality of the buildings of the recently opened International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

In addition, in the 2025-2026 academic year many new secondary schools were opened in Ashgabat and regions, the first bell rang marking the beginning of the new academic year. Solemn opening ceremonies of several kindergartens were also held. This is the result of the state’s great concern for the younger generation of our country. Educating the younger generation based on the best examples of national and universal values ​​is one of the priority areas of the reform policy initiated by our Hero Arkadag and currently being successfully implemented under the leadership of our esteemed President. In this regard, special attention is paid to improving national education system, which is an important basis for the further development of our society and state. In honor of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, students who entered the world of knowledge for the first time - 1st grade students - were presented with “Bilimli” laptops on behalf of the esteemed President.
