CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
As you know, one of the important stages of the election season for the elections of members of Mejlis of Turkmenistan, velayat, etrap and city halk maslahaty and Gengeshes, which will be held on March 26, 2023, is the nomination of candidates.
According to the Election code of Turkmenistan, the right to nominate the candidates belongs to political parties registered before the appointed day of the elections, as well as citizens’ groups.
According to the article 44 of the Election code of Turkmenistan, the nomination of candidates begins sixty days before the elections and ends thirty days before the elections.
Thus, nominations will be held from January 25 to February 24, 2023.
