A meeting was held with the OSCE delegation

The election evaluation team of the bureau of Democratic institutions and human rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe came to our capital. The delegation came at the invitation of the turkmen side in connection with the elections of deputies of Mejlis of Turkmenistan which will be held on March 26. 

The head of the apparatus of the Commission for holding Elections and referendums in Turkmenistan held a meeting with this delegation.

The participants of the meeting noted the fruitfulness of the long-term bilateral cooperation, and in this regard, they emphasized that one of the important directions of this cooperation is the exchange of experience in organizing the elections, the study of legal norms and international work experience. 

The guests were given a comprehensive understanding of the activities carried out in accordance with the plan and capabilities of the digital system during the election season so far in connection with the March 26 parliamentary elections. 

During the meeting, the head of the permanent çouncil of the OSCE bureau for Democratic institutions and human rights, Cornelia Willemien Anke Jonker, spoke. She xpressed her gratitude for the hospitality. She announced that the main goal of the expert group that came to our capital is to assess the progress of the preparations and conduction of the elections which will be held on March 26. 

The participation of major international organizations, including representatives of the OSCE bureau for Democratic institutions and human rights in the elections will contribute to conduct the elections based on strict observance of legal norms. 

Within the scope of their powers, they will be given the opportunity to observe the pre-election activities without interruption and visit the polling stations in our capital and in velayats of our country on the day of direct voting.
