CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
Serdar Jelilov, the candidate for President of Turkmenistan, head of the Department of Economy and Development of Ahal province, held a meeting with voters of Balkan Province. Heads of local government authorities, representatives of labor collectives and local community, media and young people gathered at the Cultural and Sports Center of the Turkmenbashy Complex of Oil Processing Plants in Turkmenbashy.
The attendees were briefed on the biography of the candidate nominated by the initiative group of citizens. S. Jelilov’s constituency agent characterized him as a qualified professional with an experience in finance and economics.
Among priority positions of his platform, the presidential candidate marked the development of oil and gas, power, chemical and light industries; agriculture, trade and tourism, and establishment of the diversified system for export of energy resources. Improvement of resource bases of the agricultural complex and support of the private sector were identified as major objectives.
Answering the questions, S. Jelilov elaborated on his plans for the development of the country’s western province; state healthcare and educational systems; housing construction; enhancement of social protection of the people, and the further development of Avaza National Tourist Zone.
