CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
As is known, the preparations for holding the elections of the members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan is scheduled for March 28 of this year and in this regards the educational seminars were organized by the Central Election Commission as part of the election process.
During the video conference at the meeting of Cabinet of Ministers, our esteemed President has mentioned the election of the members of the Halk Maslahaty by stressing the importance of holding it at a high organizational level.
Based on the guidelines of the President and following the approved programme of the preparatory work of elections, educational seminars were held on February 2-3, 2021 to provide methodological assistance to members of the velayat, Ashgabat city, etrap and town halk maslahaty, as well as for velayat and Ashgabat city election commissions.
At this event, members of election commissions and local halk maslahaty introduced amendments and additions of the current legislation for conducting elections on nomination and registration of candidates, use of the ballot, ballot box equipment, and other voting procedures. Specific issues related to the high level of organization on voting and counting procedures were also discussed.
Also, participants expressed their gratitude to President Arkadag, who pays great attention to the improvement of the electoral system and leads the people of Turkmenistan to a happy and democratic future.
The election which is scheduled for the last Sunday of March 2021 of declared «Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust!» year, will be of great significance for the political life of our country in the further development of democratic principles based on the consistent initiatives of our National Leader.
