CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
For the purpose of organized preparation and holding of the upcoming elections on March 31, 2019 in place of retired deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the velayat, etrap, city Halk maslahaty and Gengeshes, in accordance with the approved program of activities from February 14 to 15 of this year, there were held training seminars with election commissions of cities in etraps, settlements, and gengeshliks by the staff of the Central Election Commission.
On the seminars held in Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats there were provided a detailed explanation of the procedure for holding elections based on democratic principles provided by the legislation, the procedure for using documentation on elections. Also on the training seminars there were discussed issues for holding this social and political event on the high level.
