CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
As is known, under the Resolution of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan dated November 28, 2020, it has been announced that the election season for the first election of the members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan to be held on March 28, 2021, which will begin on January 2, 2021.
Following the current programme approved by the Central Election Commission, the preparatory work for holding the first large-scale election of the members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan is underway and preparations for its organization are in full swing. Guidelines, memos, and regulatory documents for holding elections to elect members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan have been prepared.
Appointment of national observers by political parties, public associations, and civil society groups is also underway. Considering the works related to the preparations for elections to be held in spring of this year «Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust», we are convinced that these elections will be held democratically under our national principles and international norms.
