CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN

On October 15, 2025, our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the complex for the production of mineral fertilizers at the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant in Turkmenabat.

Turkmenistan’s chemical industry, under the wise leadership of our esteemed President, who continues the great undertakings of our Hero Arkadag, rapidly developing and becoming an important part of our national economic diversification strategy. The country’s vast natural resources allow the industry to supply itself with raw materials. Turkmenistan not only exporting raw materials, but also focusing on their advanced processing, developing a modern, high-tech and competitive chemical industry. Our country is strengthening its position in international markets as a major producer of mineral fertilizers.

The head of state sincerely congratulated the participants of the ceremony of laying the foundation of the complex for the production of mineral fertilizers at the chemical plant named after S.A. Niyazov in Turkmenabat of Lebap Velayat, on this joyful event noted that the chemical industry is one of the leading sectors of the economy.

The esteemed President continued by saying that during period of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, large-scale projects being implemented in the country and new production facilities being commissioned are aimed at strengthening our economy and ensuring a prosperous and happy life for our people and emphasized that in implementing these projects, great importance is attached to meeting environmental requirements and introducing advanced technologies.

As our Hero Arkadagly Serdar noted, project for a new mineral fertilizer production complex at the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant of the Turkmenchemistry State Concern will be implemented by the Korean company “Daewoo”. Innovative technological equipment and resources will be used in the construction of the complex, ensuring compliance with environmental requirements. The new complex will reliably supply agricultural producers and domestic consumers in our country with high-quality phosphate fertilizers. This will create conditions for strengthening food security in our Independent state and developing domestic production of phosphate fertilizers imported from abroad.

The complex will produce 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate per year. After commissioning, it will significantly increase the capacity of our country’s chemical industry. The launch of this modern chemical plant will create additional jobs. Most of the specialists who will work there will have been trained at foreign universities and all necessary conditions will be provided for their work.

Thus, the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of the complex for the production of mineral fertilizers demonstrated the successful development of the domestic chemical industry in accordance with the requirements of the time through innovation and strategic planning. This industry contributes to the continuous strengthening of the role of our Motherland, as an industrially powerful country, turning the country’s rich natural resources into the basis for sustainable economic and technological development.
